It's about time I got some shoes that had laces, started going to some new places, but I won't.
And I'll vacation in my hometown, walking the trails of my own history, because the heart has reasons that reason just can't know.
I am frozen here. I'm not like this on purpose, but it's my fate I fear. I remember all the places and the faces I used to call friends. We're moving in different directions and the letters just don't get sent.
It's about time I started seeing some new faces, ones I didn't know when they had braces, but I won't.
And I'll vacation in my hometown, follow the tracks that I left in the snow when I touched the heart of Illinois three years ago.
Just one last thing before I let you go: please rate me one to ten on how you think I've been as your friend, as your lover.
Life is not like it was just three years ago.
